Story:-
The culture of remakes in the Hindi film industry is exactly like the rain of Bombay. Always keeps going. Some time ago came 'Antim' and 'Chhori', which were remakes of 'Mulshi Pattern' and 'Lapachpi'. Now continuing this momentum, 'Tadap' has come, which is a Hindi remake of the 2018 Telugu film 'RX 100'. Sunil Shetty's son Ahan Shetty is going to make his film debut from the film. My experience of watching 'Tadap' was such that I was the only person in the theatre, all the other couples. How was the film, now we will talk about it.
Boy meets girl. Girl Leaves. Boy Gets Sad, Angry. Full mayhem type atmosphere. Ishana lives in Mussoorie, with dad. Who is not his real father, but takes care of Ishaana like his own child. Ishana basically works for Damodar, who is the MLA there. Once Damodar's daughter Ramisa comes to Mussoorie. Ishana and Ramisa meet, fall in love. Then there is that which no lover wants to imagine, the marriage of his girlfriend. After Ramisa's marriage, Ishana goes mad. There is a yearning to reach Ramisa somehow. Meanwhile, with whom does he enmity, and where does he channelize his anger, this is the story ahead.
If you have seen 'RX 100' then you must know how time, emotion change in the second half. In that case, the remake also retains the original plot. Love is such a word, it is a feeling that everyone has tried to define in their own way, because it cannot have a single meaning. The film also discovered its meaning in its own way. Here love follows the path of passion. Such a passion that does not seem to turn into madness. A passion that is selfish does not consider anything more important than satisfying its own needs. Forgets that for whom he is fighting, when he starts fighting with him, starts harming him. Same is the case with Ishaana here. By memorizing Ramisa's name, he starts creating havoc. His anger even forgets who is in front. We have romanticized the passion and anger of the lovers for a long time. The boy who smokes himself after heartbreak is a super hit formula in the market. 'Kabir Singh' was also similar to some extent. Ishana also exists in the same universe. Here the definition of love is found in physical intimacy. The boy is controlling, understands his right over the girl and repeatedly expresses this. There is no objection to showing such characters in the cinema. Manoj Bajpayee had said in one of his interviews on 'Kabir Singh' that such characters are also a part of our society. This is absolutely true, because this story is based on a real man named Shiva. Such people are among us, we ourselves are probably to some extent. But find the answer yourself, how right it is to glorify such people.
Ishana and Ramisa's love story is twisted and problematic from the very beginning. Like when Ramisa sees him dancing for the first time, she checks out his body. At this point the camera tilts down on Ishana's entire body, that is, from top to bottom. This was probably a ninja technique to reverse the objectification of women that has been going on in cinema for decades. There are lots of screaming, screaming and loud angry scenes from Ishana's character, and in such a situation, Ahan Shetty delivers. His work here is not of the top notch kind, but he does not disappoint either. The rest of the emotional scenes of Ramisa turned Tara Sutaria could have been better.
Apart from Ahan, the next big selling point of the film was its testosterone level being Ultra Pro Max. Full action, bloodshed action. Which has also been filmed. Seeing these action scenes in the theater gives a full feel. Night time, blue lighting and rain! In the midst of all this, a man is being fought with many. The director of the film, Milan Luthria, should be praised for this point. Along with him, it is important to talk about Rajat Arora, who has written 'Tadap'. Rajat is already famous for his over the top dialogues in 'Once Upon A Time in Mumbai' and 'The Dirty Picture'. His typical self was seen in 'Tadap'.
Dialogues like 'Son should not be under control, should be capable' and 'If you keep a grain of salt in your mouth, then everything will be Khari' are proof of this. If you keep the cinema only till you make hair like Salman by watching 'Tere Naam', then it is right, you can see 'Tadap'. Next to that, what do you absorb from a commercial film, that is your choice.
