dhamaka movie download in hd || dhamaka movie review
A few years back a film was released. Parineeti Chopra's 'The Girl on the Train'. It was based on an English novel. A film named Ek Sem based on the same novel also came in English in 2016. I watched that film before watching Parineeti's film. As a result, I got to see flaws in Parineeti's film. Although the rest of the public also came but I felt that I might have seen the film of Parineeti with a little bias. This time I did not repeat this mistake. I had not seen the Korean film 'The Terror Live' on which it is based, before watching Kartik Aaryan's 'Dhamaka'. So that I can watch 'Dhamaka' without any prejudice and what did I get after watching? Let's talk.
'Dhamaka' is the story of news anchor cum radio jockey Arjun Pathak. There is nothing pleasant in his life on a fine day. He is on air and a call comes. The caller tells that he is about to blast a bomb on Mumbai's Sea-Link. Arjun throws her words in the air. In response the caller delivers the first explosion. Obviously the anchor sahib starts taking him seriously immediately. The collar has only one demand. Small. He wants minister Jaidev Patil to come on TV and apologize. Otherwise it will explode further. Why does he want to do this? Is his demand met? What is the reason behind taking such a big step? And is there any connection to Arjun Pathak's past with all these things? You will know all this by watching the film.
Let's talk good things about the film first. 'Dhamaka' is fast paced. Events keep happening fast. In fact the film does not waste any time in tying the role. Comes straight to the point. Threatening calls also come within minutes of the start of the film. Also, the note on which the film starts, the setup seems interesting. There is an anchor, who is having problems in his personal life, but he has to look normal in front of the camera. People working in the media will be familiar with this dilemma. At this point the film seems to be moving in the right direction. After that the threatening call comes and instead of reporting the news, the veterans of the channel get involved in the jugaad of selling the news. Some realistic things are also seen here. Like Arjun's boss Ankita asks him the angle of the news. Then the words like 'no fun aaya', 'and pour emotion' are spoken, then in reality, the news room of a news TV channel starts coming. Even everything was fine. The mess lies ahead and To Be Honest is a lot of mess.
The dialogues of the film will also have to be included in the good things. Some dialogues are very good. like,
'Anchors are made, reporters are made of their choice'
'News takes time and audiences don't have time'.
That scene is also good when Amrita Subhash tells Arjun clearly the motto of the channel, 'First channel, then journalism' . Apart from this, the song 'Khoya-Paya' which comes at the end of the film is also very good. Puneet Sharma has spoken very deeply in very simple words. Puneet has written the screenplay of the film along with director Ram Madhvani. The film has done a good job on this front. The mess is somewhere else.
There is something wrong with the execution of a good story and the performance of the actors. Nothing seems convincing. To say without any sugar coating, then Kartik Aaryan often goes over. Neither they are able to deliver shock properly, nor fear. You can't even connect with his acting. His character also seems very confused. According to the film, he is a mean, ambitious and cruel person. He is a liar, dishonest, corrupt journalist. Then the film also wants to tell that he is good at heart. Both things do not come out properly. Everything seems artificial.
The same can be said for Mrinal Thakur as well. Although he has got very less screen space. But she has not been able to do any miracle in whatever she got. There is a scene in which she saves a girl child. She looks so casual in that scene that the tension of the situation is not reflected in that scene. If anyone seems to be a believer in the film, it is Amrita Subhash. He has done the character of a Ruthless news channel head very convincingly.
The story of getting fed up with the system and taking law in hand is not new to the cinema screen. The temper of bomb blast is also not a new thing in this story. We have seen all this in films like 'The Wednesday'. And have seen better than this. 'Dhamaka' doesn't offer much more than that. Director Ram Madhvani who had done in 'Neerja', he has not been able to repeat in 'Dhamaka'. It's sad to see such a good story and screen play being wasted. But this is life.
